With the second pick in the seventh round, 208 overall, the Jacksonville Jaguars select cornerback Jeremy Harris from New Mexico State University, continuing the rebuild of their secondary. The Jaguars drafted Jonathan Cyprien in the second round, Dwayne Gratz in the third round and Josh Evans in the sixth round.
The Jaguars should know quite a bit about Harris though, as the 6'1" corner played under the Jaguars current secondary coach DeWayne Walker. The Jaguars found another long athlete at the position, as Harris ran sub 4.5 in the 40-yard dash. He's likely going to be a project at the next level, but is clearly someone that the team feels they can mold into a player in Gus Bradley's new defensive scheme.
The Jaguars have one more pick in the draft.
