The Jacksonville Jaguars closed out the the 2013 NFL Draft by selecting defensive back Demetrius McCray from Appalachian State. The Jaguars add yet ANOTHER defensive back in the draft as clearly it was a position group the team felt needed to be completely overhauled.
McCray is a 6'1 corner, following the theme of long athlete at the position. McCray ran in the mid-4.5's in the 40-yard dash and should be another body at the position for Gus Bradley to work with in the new defensive scheme. Jaguars general manager David Caldwell mentioned in his post-draft press conference that the team had specific skill sets they were looking for to add to the defense and clearly McCray fits that.
The Jaguars have no more picks left in the draft and will now work on college free agency.
