Tyson Clabo released by Falcons, could Jaguars take a look?

The Atlanta Falcons are going to release veteran right tackle Tyson Clabo, according to Clabo's agent on Twitter. Clabo was due $4.5 million for the 2013 season and the Atlanta Falcons are trying to move around some cap space so they can be in position to extend quarterback Matt Ryan.

Clabo, 31, has started 100 games for the Falcons in his seven seasons in the NFL after originally signing with Atlanta as an undrafted free agent in 2004. Early in his career he played right guard before taking over at right tackle and has missed just one game in the past five seasons and earned a trip to the 2010 Pro Bowl.

Releasing Clabo adds another right tackle to the free agent pool, which has been saturated in 2013 with players like Eric Winston and Andre Smith still on the market.

Clabo, while older, might be a fit for the Jaguars. General manager Dave Caldwell is certainly familiar with him.
