Ace Sanders injury: Jaguars WR out maybe a month

The Jaguars picked Ace Sanders in the fourth-round of the 2013 NFL Draft.

USA TODAY Sports

The Jacksonville Jaguars are back out on the practice field, but they're without one of their draft picks in fourth-round pick wide receiver Ace Sanders. Sanders, who should compete for time at the slot receiver position and return punts, has been sidelined with ab and hip injuries and according to the Florida Times-Union, could be out for the entire month.

The belief with Sanders however is that the injury isn't serious and he's being held out as a precautionary measure to avoid further injury.

The team has already lost rookie quarterback Jordan Rodgers until training camp with a sports hernia, so the team is likely trying to avoid further stress and injury to one of their expected young playmakers.

Other players missing practice: Roy Miller (knee), Jason Babin (knee), and Austen Lane is attending the NFL's broadcast boot camp this week. Miller and Babin are both believed to be precautionary hold outs from practice.
