Jacksonville Jaguars owner Shahid Khan has completed his purchase of Premier League club Fulham F.C. and will be announced as the team's new owner on Saturday, according to a report from Ben Rumsby of The Telegraph.
Per Rumsby's report, the sale netted the previous owner, Mohamed Al Fayed, in the region of £150-200 million, which is roughly $225-300 million. Khan purchased the Jaguars in 2011 from majority owner Wayne Weaver and several minority owners for $760 million.
Fulham F.C. is a professional soccer club based in Fulham, London originally founded in 1879 that currently plays in the English Premier League. The team is the oldest established team from London that plays in the Premier League.
With the purchase, Khan became the sixth American owner of a English Premier League club and the third to own an NFL team as well, along with the Glazer Family of Manchester United and Stan Kroenke of Arsenal.
