Shad Khan agrees to purchase of Premier League's Fulham soccer club | jacksonville.com

The English Premier League approved the sale, which is a 100 percent takeover and no inherited debt.

Shad Khan now owns both the Jacksonville Jaguars of the National Football League and Fulham of the English Premier League. Today’s announcement that Khan has purchased the soccer club leads some analysts and observers down a road that I can’t understand. They believe owning a London soccer team is a significant step toward Khan ultimately moving his American football franchise to London. What is better about having two franchises in London than having one franchise in London and one franchise in America and being able to cross-promote them not cross-town but trans-Atlantic?
Shorts actually has gotten quite a bit of mention among national media types this offseason, particularly for a guy without a 1,000-yard season whose team has won seven games in two seasons. If Shorts plays at a high level, he will get mentioned more. As for why you care, you’re a fan, Trevor. The national media’s view doesn’t matter. It is as meaningless as my 40-time. But fans care. It’s not necessary. It doesn’t change anything. But they do care. They just do.
