Jacksonville Jaguars Partner with Publix as Official Supermarket
The Jacksonville Jaguars today announced a five year partnership with Publix whereby Publix becomes the ‘Official Supermarket of the Jaguars.’ Publix joins the Jaguars “Jamboree,” the most significant corporate partners of the team. To kick off the partnership, Jaguars and Publix executives made a joint announcement this morning at EverBank Field prior to the team’s second day of training camp. Joining the announcement were Jaguars General Manager David Caldwell and Head Coach Gus Bradley. Following the team’s practice, the first 750 fans in attendance received an invitation for a complimentary tailgate party hosted by Publix.

Having been through a full offseason and a couple training camp practices, fullback Greg Jones has gotten a bit of a sense of how Gary Kubiak likes to operate. Jones, who signed a one-year deal with the Texans this offseason, spent his first nine seasons with the Jaguars. “Little bit more fast paced,” Jones said. “Kube, he takes care of the guys. Being in Jacksonville, it’s a good difference, I can say that. It’s a good difference. … He don’t grind you. Back in the day in Jacksonville, we grinded a lot. He doesn’t really believe in that.”
