Dolphins vs. Jaguars instant analysis: Some good, a lot of bad

The Jaguars lost to the Dolphins on Friday, and here are some quick instant observations on the game.

Kim Klement-USA TODAY Sports

The Jacksonville Jaguars lost to the Miami Dolphins on Friday evening in their first preseason game, but the final score which I can't even remember isn't really relevant to what we saw on the football field. We saw a lot of what we already knew, and then some things that left a lot wanting.

Some quick immediate post game reactions:

  • The starting defensive line looked good and got good pressure, especially from Sen'Derrick Marks.
  • The new cornerback tandem looked solid for the most part.
  • Chris Prosinski is still bad.
  • Luke Joeckel got welcomed to the NFL by Cameron Wake.
  • The offense still needs a lot of work.
  • Ace Sanders and Denard Robinson have potential to be very exciting players.
  • It's the first preseason game. It's the first preseason game.
  • It's the first preseason game.

I'll have a more in depth recap of the game on Saturday.
