Ryan Davis injury: Jaguars DE treated for concussion

Jaguars LEO end Ryan Davis left Friday nights preseason game early and is being evaluated for a concussion.

Melina Vastola-USA TODAY Sports

Jacksonville Jaguars defensive end Ryan Davis left Friday's game on his own recognizance after a big hit against the Miami Dolphins, and is now being evaluated for a concussion according to head coach Gus Bradley during his press conference on Saturday.

Davis is playing the new LEO role for the Jaguars and has done a nice job, stealing some snaps with the second team, and was having a decent first preseason game before knocking his head and coming off the field for the rest of the night.

The NFL has cracked down on concussions, so if Davis has one it's likely he'll sit out for a few days before getting back on the practice field. Fellow defensive end Jeremy Mincey has been out over a week after suffering a concussion in practice.
