The Jaguars were without some of their biggest name players on Friday night, including Justin Blackmon and second-round draft pick Johnathan Cyprien; however, both players could return to the team very soon. At a press conference on Saturday, Jaguars head coach Gus Bradley revealed that both Cyprien and Blackmon are probable to return to the practice fields on Monday.
Cyprien, a star in the Jaguars' mini-camp and organized team activities earlier in the summer, has been dealing with a hamstring injury that has kept him from joining the team in training camp. The 33rd overall selection in the 2013 NFL Draft, Cyprien is expected to step in and start right away as a rookie at the strong safety position.
Blackmon has been recovering from offseason groin surgery that has kept him off the field in training camp. While his return is a positive step for the Jaguars offense, he is also facing a four-game suspension which will keep him from contributing in the regular season until Week 5.
