Jaguars vs. Jets injury report 2013: Luke Joeckel still out

New, comments

The Jaguars still have a couple of nagging injuries to begin the week leading up to preseason Game 2.

Jacksonville Jaguars

The Jacksonville Jaguars hit the practice field again for another day of practice. Thankfully the team didn't incur anymore injuries that what they began the day with, which was the same cast of characters it's been for the past few days.

Jaguars injury report for Tuesday's practice:

WR Cecil Shorts III (calf)
CB Jeremy Harris (back)
RB Justin Forsett (toe)
DT Brandon Deaderick (groin)
LT Luke Joeckel (hip flexor)
LB Russell Allen (bone bruise)
TE Isaiah Stanback (quad)

With the Jaguars signing veteran linebacker Andy Studebaker on Tuesday, it may point to Russell Allen being out longer than anticipated. As far as Shorts, they are being cautious with him and it sounds as if he may not play against the New York Jets, however it was noted that if it were a regular season game he would play. I would presume the same for Luke Joeckel, who said his hip issue began during the scrimmage, if he doesn't practice on Wednesday.
