LaRoy Reynolds getting first team LB reps for Jaguars

Undrafted rookie free ageny LaRoy Reynolds is getting snaps with the first team defense.

The Jacksonville Jaguars are lacking some depth at the linebacker position, but it's possible they found a gem in undrafted rookie linebacker LaRoy Reynolds. Reynolds stood out during training camp, flashing at least once a day in practice, and did so again during the Jaguars first preseason game.

With the injury to starting linebacker Russell Allen, Reynolds has gotten a chance to soak up reps with the first team defense.

"You talk about strain now, he's feeling it," Jaguars head coach Gus Bradley told The Florida Times-Union. "He's playing SAM [strong side] and MIKE [middle] so he's going with the first groups of SAM reps and he's going on for two reps at MIKE. What a great opportunity for him. He comes in and he's a free agent player and he's got a chance to show us what he's all about."

Reynolds is adjusting to playing two positions on the defense that each have different roles in the scheme, but it appears he's making an impression on the coaching staff with his ability.
