Jaguars vs. Jets injury report 2013: 7 players ruled out of Saturday's game

The Jaguars have ruled out seven players for Saturday's preseason matchup with the Jets.

Melina Vastola-USA TODAY Sports

The Jacksonville Jaguars have had some nagging minor injuries and have been careful, holding players out of practice this week. The team will hold all of those players out of Saturday's preseason matchup with the New York Jets.

Jaguars players ruled out of Saturday's game

WR Cecil Shorts III (calf)
CB Jeremy Harris (back)
RB Justin Forsett (toe)
DT Brandon Deaderick (groin)
LT Luke Joeckel (hip flexor)
LB Russell Allen (bone bruise)
TE Isaiah Stanback (quad)

All seven players will be head out, but the likes of Joeckel and Shorts would be active if it were a regular season game.

On the plus side, Jonathan Cyprien, Justin Blackmon and Maurice Jones-Drew will all see action and start in Saturday's game. Jones-Drew is only expected a couple of snaps, but it will be nice to see Cyprien finally in action.
