Since everything has to be power ranked on the internet now, the inevitable ranking of NFL uniforms has started and Paul Lukas isn't a fan of the new Jacksonville Jaguars threads. In fact, he doesn't seem to just dislike them, he appears to be disgusted by them.
Worthy of the bottom spot simply by virtue of having what's bound to go down as the worst helmet in NFL history. Like, did they run out of spray paint or what? As for the rest of the design, it's risky to come up with a superhero outfit for a bad team, because superheroes don't look very superheroic when they're on the wrong end of a 37-10 score every week. Or, to put it another way, the Jags are about to learn the same hard lesson that Maryland has learned: If you dress like a clown and win, you look like a winner. But if you dress like a clown and lose, you just look like a clown.
I understand not liking a uniform, but why does how good the team factor into what the uniform looks like?
Anyway, this isn't a shocker from Lukas who's shown himself to be predominantly a fan of plain uniforms, as evidenced by his top five ranking of the Chicago Bears, Green Bay Packers, Oakland Raiders, Pittsburgh Steelers, and Buffalo Bills.
His comment about the Jaguars helmets is interesting, considering he has the Steelers in the top five, who's helmet has their logo on just a single side... because it was too expensive to put it on both sides and they just kept it that way.
Also, the Jaguars uniforms are nowhere close to the sometimes clusterf--- of what Maryland's uniforms are.
Hooray for plain solid colors and numbers, I guess?
