The Jacksonville Jaguars got back onto the field on Monday following their Saturday scrimmage, but in a bit of bad news third-year wide receiver Cecil Shorts III left early with a calf strain. Shorts left practice to have his left leg looked at and returned with with wrapped in ice.

"He strained his calf, we’ll evaluate him," head coach Gus Bradley said after practice. "I believe it’s nothing major, we just will take a look at him in the training room."
It's very possible the Jaguars hold Shorts out of the preseason game against the Miami Dolphins on Friday, in fact I'd be a little surprised if they didn't. If Shorts is out of the lineup, I would look for Mike Brown and rookie Ace Sanders to be the starting wide receivers.
