Dolphins vs. Jaguars 2013 injury report: Cecil Shorts, Justin Forsett still sit

New, comments

The Jacksonville Jaguars haven't suffered any major injuries, but they do have a couple of players with minor injuries.

The Jacksonville Jaguars have their first preseason game on Friday against the Miami Dolphins, and thankfully the team hasn't suffered any real major injuries. There are a couple of minor knocks and some players recovering from offseason surgery, but all in all, the Jaguars are relatively healthy headed into Friday.

Jaguars injury report for Wednesday's practice:

DE Jeremy Mincey (concussion)
WR Cecil Shorts III (calf)
SS Jonathan Cyprien (hamstring)
RB Justin Forsett (toe)
WR Justin Blackmon (groin)
CB Jeremy Harris (back)
DT Brandon Deaderick (groin)

With both Forsett and Shorts missing practice once again on Wednesday, I would presume the chance they suit up for Friday's matchup with the Dolphins is pretty slim, given they'd likely only play a handful of snaps to begin with. Especially with Shorts, there's no real reason to throw him out there for any length of time with a soft tissue injury.
