Jaguars PA voting results in a... tie?

The Jaguars PA contest resulted in a tie after 16,000 votes were cast.

The Jacksonville Jaguars held a competition for their new PA announcer on game days, and the results from fan voting and the like are in. The result?

A tie.

With over 16,000 votes cast for the PA role, the Jaguars have decided to utilize the services of both Kevin Peffer and Anthony Bellino on game days, beginning Friday night against the Miami Dolphins.

"We were very happy with the quality of the candidates, and equally pleased with the fans' response to this competition," Jaguars President Mark Lamping said in a team release. "And having two stadium announcers allows us to have fresh voices for the pregame festivities as well as for the game. We believe their addition will add to the fans' enjoyment on game day at EverBank Field."

Peffer will handle pregame duties while Bellino will handle the rest of the PA duties on game days.
