Dolphins vs. Jaguars 2013: Dion Jordan giving good impressions early

We sat down with The Phinsider to ask a few questions about the Miami Dolphins and what to expect on Friday evening. We also get a look at Dion Jordan.

The Jacksonville Jaguars take on the Miami Dolphins on Friday evening to open the 2013 preseason. We know a lot about the Jaguars, but what about the Dolphins? I got a hold of Kevin Nogle over at The Phinsider to ask him some questions about the Dolphins, and what we can look for.

Dion Jordan is a player a lot of Jaguars fans wanted and thought the team might draft to play that LEO end position and some SAM linebacker. He began the season on the PUP list, but the early returns on him sound very promising.

A player in the draft a lot of people thought the Jaguars would draft is Dion Jordan. How's he done so far and what role is he playing?

Jordan has been impressive in the limited times we have seen him. He was originally placed on the PUP list as he worked to rehab his shoulder from surgery back in February, then was cleared two days later to return to practice. He's been brought along slowly, working his was through a few individual drills to team drills. His first full action was Sunday during the game, and he really looked good. He was fast, he got around the corner to pressure quarterbacks, and he played in pass coverage as well. He's not 100% yet, and he still has to learn things like setting the edge against the run, but overall, he looks good, and he looks like a pass rushing weapon for Miami's defense.
