Dolphins vs. Jaguars 2013: First half game thread

The preseason is set to kickoff on Friday night for the Jaguars when the Miami Dolphins visit Everbank Field for an exhibition game. The Dolphins are set to play in their second preseason game after losing to the Dallas Cowboys, 24-20, in the Hall of Fame Game on Sunday.

For the Jaguars, it is the debut of the Gus Bradley-coached Jaguars which will feature new uniforms on display as well. With new uniforms, helmets, coaches as well as half of the roster featuring players that were not with the team in 2012, it is the first look at a new era for the Jaguars.

While the team will be missing several of its most marquee players on Friday, including Maurice Jones-Drew, Cecil Shorts III and Justin Blackmon, the more important battles will be between players looking to find their way on to the starting lineup or the 53-man roster. Among those battles will be the one between Blaine Gabbert and Chad Henne, who are still battling for the starting quarterback spot on the team.
