Blaine Gabbert ruled out for Oakland game | jacksonville.com
Jaguars quarterback Blaine Gabbert has been ruled out of Sunday’s game at Oakland because of a laceration on his right (throwing) hand sustained in the loss to Kansas City.Gabbert received 15 stitches after the game but coach Gus Bradley was told today of his prognosis.“The big concern with that amount of stitches was that it could reopen and an infection could occur,” Bradley said. “Hopefully we get him back next week or after the Seattle game.”

Suspended WR Justin Blackmon will join Jaguars, attend meetings during West Coast stay | Fox News
Suspended receiver Justin Blackmon will join the Jacksonville Jaguars for their stay on the West Coast. Coach Gus Bradley says the NFL confirmed that Blackmon can join coaches and teammates in Fremont, Calif., next week, where he will participate in meetings. Blackmon is suspended the first four games for violating the league's substance-abuse policy. He's not allowed to practice or attend games during the suspension. Since Jacksonville plays at Oakland on Sunday and then at Seattle the following week, Bradley decided to keep the team in northern California between games. Blackmon will join his teammates, but will have to fly west after Sunday's game and then return to Jacksonville before the team heads to Seattle.

They picked off two passes, including one that went for a touchdown. The defense and special teams created short fields for the offense. It was efficient, smart and fast-paced. The Chiefs did their thing.

The Jacksonville Jaguars didn't really get hit that badly with the injury bug during the 2013 NFL preseason, but in Week 1 of the regular season they did see rookie cornerback Dwayne Gratz go down with an injury that was originally called a "shin contusion". It appears to be worse than that, however.
