Neither McClendon or McCoy played a regular season game with the Jaguars before they were released on Saturday.

Offensive lineman Jacques McClendon and defensive end Chris McCoy lasted just one game with the Jaguars as both were waived on Saturday to make room for wide receiver Jeremy Ebert and cornerback Marcus Burley on the active roster, the team announced.

Both Ebert and Burley spent time with the Jaguars during preseason, but were released and added to the practice squad. With injuries at wide receiver and cornerback, they both may have been added to the 53-man roster out of necessity prior to Sunday's Week 2 game against the Oakland Raiders.

McClendon and McCoy were both claimed by the Jaguars one day after they were released by the Atlanta Falcons and Philadelphia Eagles, respectively, in final cuts. However, neither made their debut with the team in Week 1 against the Kansas City Chiefs, as both were listed as inactive prior to the game.

Ebert, who was selected in the seventh round of the 2012 NFL Draft by the New England Patriots, caught five passes in preseason for 46 yards and a touchdown. Burley, an undrafted rookie out of Delaware, played in two preseason games but did not make the statbook.
