Jaguars vs. Seahawks injury report: Maurice Jones-Drew sits out

MJD sat out Wednesday's practice session, but is still expected to play on Sunday.

Kelley L Cox-USA TODAY Sports

The Wednesday injury report for the Jacksonville Jaguars came out later than usual, as the team is spending the week practicing on the West Coast at San Jose State University in preparation for a Week 3 game against the Seattle Seahawks.

Headlining the injury report is three-time Pro Bowl running back Maurice Jones-Drew, who is recovering from a tendon strain in his ankle that kept him out of the second half of the Jaguars' Week 2 loss to the Oakland Raiders. However, Jones-Drew previously said that he is confident that he'll be able to play in Sunday's game.

Also on the injury report, quarterback Blaine Gabbert returned to practice with the team and was listed as limited for the session. Still very unlikely for Sunday's game, it's a positive step for the third-year quarterback as he recovers from a gash on his hand that required several stitches to close.
