Ace Sanders ready to return punts for Jaguars

The Jaguars plan to utilize rookie Ace Sanders on punt returns against the Colts.

The Jacksonville Jaguars have been looking for an offensive spark through the first few weeks and they may find one against the Colts, but on the special teams portion of the game. Rookie fourth-round pick Ace Sanders looked explosive returning kicks in the preseason, but with the injuries to the wide receiver position he's been limited in that regard.

Heading into Sunday however, it appears he's going to be returning punts.

"I believe right now ... we should see Ace back there as a punt returner," head coach Gus Bradley said after practice on Thursday. "That will be a good thing. I say that with about 90-percent confidence."

In place of Sanders, veteran corner Will Blackmon has been returning kicks, and doing an adequate job, but he suffered a concussion against the Seattle Seahawks so it doesn't appear like he's going to be available.

"Let's not run scared now, let's go," Bradley said. "Enough of the waiting. Let's get him back there."
