Jaguars activate Ebert and Palmer
The Jacksonville Jaguars signed first-year wide receiver Jeremy Ebert and rookie receiver Tobais Palmer off the club’s practice squad to the 53-man roster, the club announced today. Second-year guard Jacques McClendon and third-year quarterback Ricky Stanziwere waived. Ebert was on the 53-man roster for the last two games and had a five-yard reception at Oakland in week two. He spent the preseason with the Jaguars where he had five catches for 46 yards and one touchdown. Ebert was a seventh-round draft pick of New England in 2012 and spent time on the Patriots’ practice squad. He played in 49 games with 32 starts at Northwestern where he finished with 173 career receptions for 2,400 yards and 21 touchdowns.
First-half troubles have doomed Jaguars during 0-3 start | jacksonville.com
Having seen their defense force a three-and-out to start the game, the Jaguars’ offense lined up at the 25-yard line last week in Seattle intent on generating an early scoring drive to silence the crowd and show they weren’t intimidated by one of the NFL’s best teams.Instead, they botched the snap.Chad Henne retrieved the fumble, but the play epitomized the Jaguars’ first-half offense through three games.
Jaguars Film Room: Run game failures because of multiple mistakes - Big Cat Country
Let's just jump right into this - I chose to start off with this play because it encompasses three problems that keep re-occurring on Outside Zone runs. That's not to say that all of these goofs are happening on every single run play, but most of the struggles can be pinpointed to one of these issues: not checking out of disadvantageous running plays, getting defeated one-on-one at the point of attack, and missing assignments.
