NFL power rankings 2013: Jaguars clock in near the bottom

The first round of NFL power rankings are out and the Jaguars don't rank very highly, unsurprisingly.

Dale Zanine-USA TODAY Sports

The Jacksonville Jaguars have turned over half their roster compared to where it was at at this point in 2012. That's what happens when you change coaching staffs and hire a new general manager. Oh, and when you finish with the worst record in franchise history.

It leans more towards the Jaguars once again not being very good, at least until some regular season games are played and we get our bearings on the season, so it's not a big surprise the Jaguars come in near the bottom in SB Nation's Power Rankings.

31. Jacksonville Jaguars (Big Cat Country)

The Jaguars sell more tickets than any other team in Florida. By a healthy margin too. Fans will have to be patient as well as passionate; it's not going to be a quick fix. But at least the team appears to be on the right track, which is more than you can say for ...

I think the Oakland Raiders right now are clearly the worst team in the NFL, but I think from 26 to 31 you can put all the names in a hat and jumble them up and won't get much argument.

The Jaguars opponent for Week 1, the Kansas City Chiefs, clocks in at 20th overall.
