Marcedes Lewis injury: Jaguars TE re-injures calf, out indefintely

Jaguars tight end Marcedes Lewis tried to give it a go on Sunday against the Colts, but ended up suffering a set back with his injured calf.

The Jacksonville Jaguars started the game with tight end Marcedes Lewis making his regular season debut, but early in the first quarter Lewis re-aggravated the calf injury he'd been dealing with all season and will now be out indefinitely.

"It’s super frustrating," Lewis told Ryan O'Halloran of The Florida Times-Union. "It’s like the third time I’ve tried to take the protocol to get right and come back. It’s tough. It’s the same thing. It’s hard to even talk about it. I’ve got to let it run its course and stop trying to be Superman and come back earlier than I should."

The team had a big plan to get Lewis involved in the passing game against the Indianapolis Colts, but with Lewis out they had to adjust on the fly and the results weren't good, to say the least.

That's not to say Lewis going out of the game was the reason for the team's lack of success, but on an offense who's struggled to get anything going, every little bit helps.
