Which Kansas City Chiefs player should Jacksonville Jaguars fans want?

The Jaguars play the Chiefs in Week 1. If Jaguars fans could take one Chiefs player, who should it be?

US PRESSWIRE

The Kansas City Chiefs have a better overall roster than the Jacksonville Jaguars, I would say, but still finished worse than the Jaguars did in 2012. A lot of that had to do with quarterback play, which is a position the Chiefs upgraded in the offseason with the acquisition of Alex Smith.

Yesterday, Chiefs fans debated which Jaguars player they would want on the Chiefs, which interestingly enough was pretty difficult. The Jaguars and Chiefs are a little similar, in that the strength of each team is close to the same.

Which Chiefs player should Jaguars fans want right now?

The Chiefs roster isn't one of the strongest in the league, but they did have a slew of Pro Bowl players, which is something the Jaguars lacked. They also have a nice pair of pass rushers, which is where I went to pick the player I would choose.

If I had to pick one player from the Kansas City Chiefs, I would take outside linebacker Justin Houston. The Jaguars pass rush is pretty abysmal, even with good showings by Sen'Derrick Marks in the preseason. Jason Babin has been just OK getting after the quarterback, but Houston is someone who's a consistent pass rushing threat. He's only 24 years old and has 15.5 sacks in just two seasons, including double-digit sacks in 2012. He'd be a perfect fit at the LEO end position rushing the passer for the Jaguars.
