Y'all gotta chill, man.

The Jacksonville Jaguars were dominated by the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday, at least on the offensive side of the ball as the Jaguars offense struggled to even cross midfield, but folks have to remember it's Week 1 of a 16 week NFL season.

The Jaguars looked like a bad football team on Sunday and in reality that shouldn't have been a huge surprise. This is a team doing a complete rebuild, that gutted half their roster, and turned over a good portion of it less than a week ago. The fact that they looked bad is only a big shocker if you weren't basing your season expectations in reality.

Now, was I expecting what we saw on the field Sunday against the Chiefs? Hell no.

I picked the Jaguars to win a close game, and if they had had any semblance of functionality on offense they may have had a chance to. The Jaguars offense had as many drives end in negative yards than they did drives over 10 yards, excluding the obviously prevent drive to end the game.

It sucks asking fans to be patient again, but at least the new regime under Dave Caldwell has admitted it's work in progress and it's not going to be fixed in a day.

Blaine Gabbert sucks. Chad Henne isn't any better. The interior of the offensive line is a dumpster fire and there are still growing pains with the receivers. Gabbert, barring health, probably starts until the bye week, as he should and they'll we'll see what happens.... But...

Tom Brady isn't walking through that door.

It's hard to watch. It's frustrating. We've sucked for a while, but this Gene Smith mess has got to be cleaned up.

It's like an oil spill. It takes time.

But man, y'all gotta chill.

It's Week 1.
