2014 Senior Bowl: David Fales familiar with Jaguars offense

San Jose State quarterback David Fales says his offense in college is similar to what the Jacksonville Jaguars are running during the Senior Bowl week.

The Jacksonville Jaguars will likely be looking for a quarterback in the 2014 NFL Draft, the biggest question is obviously who and in which round. One player the team could be interested in is San Jose State quarterback David Fales, a player the team gets a week of hands-on practice with at the 2014 Senior Bowl.

Luckily for Fales, what he's doing in practice seems very familiar.

"A lot of the formations and the protections and a lot of the same plays that we're running here with the Jaguars, we called the same at San Jose State," Fales said in a RosterWatch Google Hangout. "It was a west-coast offense, just no huddle so we had to come up with signals for everything.

"It's been an easy transition, there's just little things in terms of progressions and how you read it and what defenses you'd want to go up against with it," Fales continued. "It's been fun."

Reviews thus far on Fales during the week have been mostly positive, with the real knock being on his arm strength and pushing the ball down the field with velocity. Fales is still considered a mid-round prospect by most, so it will be interesting to track his link with the Jaguars heading towards the 2014 NFL Draft.
