The Jacksonville Jaguars will get a good look at six quarterbacks in the 2014 Senior Bowl, coaching three of them themselves and getting an up close look at the three on the opposing team. There is one player at the practices however that the team should already be very familiar with, in Miami Hurricanes quarterback Stephen Morris.
Jaguars offensive coordinator Jedd Fisch held the same position with the Hurricanes before Jacksonville hired him in 2012, and he saw Morris have arguably his best college season under his play calling.
Morris seems to love the idea of re-connecting with Fisch at the pro level.
"Having the opportunity to play for the Jaguars, that would be amazing," Morris told Ryan O'Halloran of The Florida Times-Union. "I love Coach Fisch and the offense he's in. He helped me grow as a quarterback. It's a wonderful offense."
Morris' production from his junior season with Fisch dipped his senior year as he saw his passing yardage total decline by nearly 300 yards and his interception total nearly double. Morris has reportedly been up and down so far at the Senior Bowl and as it stands projects as a late round pick, even an undrafted free agent.
He could be someone the Jaguars are interested in developing if they take a second quarterback later on, or even if Morris ends up undrafted.
