The Denver Broncos and Seattle Seahawks face off in Super Bowl XLVIII on Sunday and interestingly enough each has a bit of Jacksonville Jaguars flavor on their roster in some regard.
The biggest link, no pun intended, is obviously defensive tackle Terrence Knighton, who's had a heck of a season after signing a short-term deal in free agency when the Jaguars let him walk. He was reunited with his former head coach, another Jaguars connection, in Jack Del Rio.
The Broncos also have former Jaguars defensive lineman Jeremy Mincey, who was released late in the season after being benched for a game for being late to multiple meetings. Linebacker Brandon Marshal, who was on and off the Jaguars roster for a few seasons is also a part of the Broncos. Center Steve Vallos also had a cup of coffee with the Jaguars.
The Seahawks on the other hand don't really have much "Jaguar" on them. The biggest link is with defensive lineman Tony McDaniel, who spent his first three seasons in the NFL with the Jaguars after making the roster in 2006 as an undrafted free agent. McDaniel appeared like he'd be a part of the rotation on the line for a while, but after an off the field issue he was traded to the Miami Dolphins for a seventh-round pick.
Offensive tackle Paul McQuistan and defensive lineman D'Anthony Smith also had stints with the Jaguars. Smith however is on the Seahawks practice squad and won't be playing on Sunday.
