Shahid Khan: 'We're going to draft a quarterback - maybe two'

Jaguars owner Shad Khan made no effort to hide the team's desire to add young passers to the roster.

It's not a secret that the Jacksonville Jaguars have a need at quarterback and owner Shahid Khan isn't hiding as much. On Friday, Khan made it clear in a comment to Ryan O'Halloran of the Florida Times-Union that the team planned on addressing the position in the 2014 NFL Draft.

In two-thirds of the mock drafts rounded up in the Big Cat Country mock draft database, the Jaguars are projected to take a quarterback with the third-overall selection. Louisville quarterback Teddy Bridgewater is the one pegged by most to be selected by the Jaguars if he is available at No. 3.

When the Washington Redskins selected Robert Griffin III with the No. 2 overall selection in the 2012 NFL Draft they followed it with the selection of Kirk Cousins in the fourth round. Cousins has made four starts with the team in two seasons and accumulated a 1-3 record in Griffin's place.

Blaine Gabbert, Chad Henne, Ricky Stanzi and Matt Scott are the four quarterbacks currently on roster for the Jaguars, although Henne's contract is set to expire in March.
