Jaguars open as 12.5-point underdogs vs. Bengals

After a few weeks of Vegas predicting close games to the Jaguars, the oddsmakers are predicting a blowout against the Bengals.

Aaron Doster-USA TODAY Sports

After starting the season 1-7, the Jacksonville Jaguars are pegged as an underdog for the eighth time in a row this season, this week against the Cincinnati Bengals.

According to OddsShark.com, the Jaguars opened as one-possession underdogs for the past four weeks. Now it's predicted as an underdog -- a 12.5-point underdog.

The betting was as high as the Jaguars being 13.5-point underdogs on Monday afternoon, but I'm guessing the line got bet down. The over/under is set between 42.5 points and 43.5 points.

The Bengals are probably the best team the Jaguars have played since their Week 4 matchup against the San Diego Chargers, and being on the road never helps a 1-7 team's chances.

If OddsShark is exactly correct with its betting line and over/under line, the Bengals will win on Sunday by a score of 28-15.
