The Jacksonville Jaguars have announced that rookie wide receiver Allen Robinson is out for the season with a stress fracture in his foot. It's a big blow for an offense that was struggling to pass the ball down the field as is, especially with Robinson starting to emerge as a go-to target for rookie quarterback Blake Bortles.
On the season so far Robinson had 48 receptions for 581 yards and two touchdowns and looked as if he could be the first receiver to hit the 1,000 yard mark for the Jaguars in quite some time.
With the loss of Robinson, it likely means that fellow rookie Marqise Lee will have to step into the lineup and finally produce. Allen Hurns is now the Jaguars most productive receiver with veteran Cecil Shorts III finally putting together a complete game on Sunday against the Dallas Cowboys, even though it looked like he suffered a nasty injury he wasn't concussed.
