Jaguars activate Marcedes Lewis to 53-man roster

The Jaguars have brought starting tight end Marcedes Lewis back to the active roster and made room for him by putting rookie Allen Robinson on injured reserve.

The Jacksonville Jaguars will be getting their best tight end back to the active roster with Marcedes Lewis returning to the 53-man roster ahead of their matchup against the Indianapolis Colts.

To make room for Lewis, the Jaguars officially put rookie wide receiver Allen Robinson on injured reserve.

Through two games, Lewis compiled just eight receptions for 102 yards and one touchdown. It'll be interesting to see how he does with an improved quarterback, offensive line, and running game.

In other roster move news, the club also waived rookie TE Mike Flacco from the practice squad and waived rookie wide receiver Nathan Slaughter from injured reserve.
