Tony Romo injury: Cowboys QB expected back against Jaguars in London

The Cowboys appear to be gambling with Tony Romo's health in London against the Jaguars.

The Jacksonville Jaguars appear as if they'll be facing off against Tony Romo at quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys in London, according to a report by Jason La Canfora.

Romo has a back injury that forced him to sit out the Cowboys loss to the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday, but Dallas seems fine with gambling on his health on their trip to London if the report is true.

I kind of expected the Cowboys to keep Romo out this week during the international trip, considering the team has a bye week following the game, and give Romo plenty of time to get healthy for the rest of the season. The Cowboys are poised to make a playoff run and it seems a bit odd they would gamble with his health in a game like this.

That being said, Brandon Weeden is not a good quarterback and maybe the Cowboys feel they simply just can't win games with him. This report also holds the caveat of "barring a setback", which could happen on the plane ride over.
