The Jacksonville Jaguars edged out the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Tennessee Titans in terms of win-loss records this year, and therefore don't have the worst record in the NFL or possession of the No. 1 overall draft pick.
But according to SB Nation's Mocking The Draft, that doesn't matter because the Buccaneers and Titans will be selecting franchise quarterbacks and will leave Nebraska's Randy Gregory all to the Jaguars.
With the No. 3 overall draft pick, the Jaguars will be selecting the prototypical pass rusher they've desperately needed for years and upgrade an effective, but aging, defensive line.
3. Jacksonville Jaguars: Randy Gregory, DE, Nebraska
The Jaguars have options at No. 3. They could go with whomever they think is the best offensive tackle in the draft or pick up a star defensive lineman like Leonard Williams of Southern California. Or they could choose Gregory, the prototype for a Leo if there has ever been one. Gregory is at his best when lined up wide, so he could thrive in Gus Bradley’s defense.
What do you think? Should the Jaguars draft Gregory, trade down, or select someone else? Let us know in the comments below!
