The Jacksonville Jaguars will likely be looking for a pass rusher in both free agency and the 2014 NFL Draft. One player most feel the Jaguars will target is Seattle Seahawks defensive end Michael Bennett, who signed in Seattle on a one-year deal and had a magnificent season all the way to a Super Bowl title.
While Bennett has expressed he'd like to stay in Seattle, it doesn't appear he'll be willing to take a discount to stay there.
"There is no such thing as discount," Bennett said on NFL Network's Total Access. "This is not Costco, this is not Walmart - this is real life...There is no discount really because you go out there and you don't give a discount on effort; you go out there and you give the best effort every day and you fight for your teammates, and you want to be compensated for the way that you perform and the kind of teammate you are."
Regardless of Bennett taking a perceived discount or not, he appears set to cash in on free agency after taking a one-year deal last offseason. He obviously fits the Jaguars defensive scheme and is likely to be one of their top targets in free agency, if he makes it to the open market.
