Louisville Pro Day: Jaguars GM Dave Caldwell, Gus Bradley to attend

The Jaguars decision makers will be at the Louisville Pro Day on Monday to watch Teddy Bridgewater and other draft hopefuls perform.

The Jacksonville Jaguars will be one of many teams at the Louisville Pro Day on Monday, with both general manager Dave Caldwell and head coach Gus Bradley expected to be in attendance.

The Jaguars, like many teams, will be in the hunt for a quarterback in the 2014 NFL Draft. It really comes down to if they feel comfortable taking someone, like Bridgewater, with the No. 3 overall pick or if they would rather take their shot with a quarterback in the second-round or beyond.

Personally, I still think Bridgewater is in play for the No. 3 overall pick, but it shouldn't be a surprise that the team sent decision makers to watch his Pro Day, as I expect they will for each of the top quarterbacks in the 2014 NFL Draft.

Bridgewater did not throw or run the 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine, so this will be the first time a lot of teams will see him perform up close. He measured in at the combine over 6'2" and 214 pounds, which should have put to rest any concerns of his size, weighing in bigger than most seemed to expect.

Many feel Bridgewater is the most "NFL ready" quarterback in the class, but he also seems to have all the features that both Caldwell and Bradley have stated they look for in a quarterback.

Defensive lineman/linebacker Marcus Smith is also someone to keep an eye on, as he fits the profile for a LEO and is expected to go in the mid-rounds. Jaguars defensive line coach Todd Wash is also in attendance.

Jaguars.com will be doing live video updates from the Louisville Pro Day as well, beginning around noon.
