Storm Johnson signs with the Jaguars after spending his college career with the University of Central Florida. Johnson was teammates with quarterback Blake Bortles, and the two will be playing together again in Jacksonville.
The Jaguars have a fairly deep running back group that is led by incoming free agent Toby Gerhart. Gerhart is joined in the backfield by former Michigan standout Denard Robinson and Jordan Todman.
Storm Johnson will have to fight for playing time, but it is not unthinkable that with a decent training camp Storm could end up as the second man on the depth chart. Running back Denard Robinson must solve his fumbling issues before he can truly be considered a major part of the Jaguars' running back committee going forward. By all accounts, that committee gets stronger with the addition of Storm Johnson.
