The Jacksonville Jaguars continue signing their 2014 NFL Draft class, this time finalizing a deal with fourth-round pick cornerback out of Oklahoma, Aaron Colvin.
At 5'11, 177 pounds, Colvin is far from a huge cornerback, but he does have the type of length that Jaguars head coach Gus Bradley covets. He will likely fit in well as a press-type cornerback who thrives in the style of defense that Jacksonville is still in the process of implementing.
Colvin tore his ACL at the 2014 Senior Bowl, but was still viewed as a Day 2 draft pick by most NFL experts. The Jaguars will likely begin the season with Colvin on the PUP list and slowly work him into the lineup, if at all this season. Thankfully the Jaguars have depth currently at the cornerback position, but he's viewed as a good value pick for the future once he fully recovers from his injury.
The Jaguars now have three of their nine draft picks under contract.
