It took just three picks for the 2014 NFL Draft to give us the first big shake and it came from the Jacksonville Jaguars when they selected Central Florida quarterback Blake Bortles with their first selection. It will be a defining pick for Jaguars general manager Dave Caldwell who elected not to upgrade the quarterback position in his first draft with the team.
There was talk that the Jaguars could take a quarterback in the first round, but most of that centered around Texas A&M's Johnny Manziel and Louisville's Teddy Bridgewater. In the final mock draft database on BCC, Bortles received a very small sliver of the pie chart.
So what say you, Big Cat Country? Are you disappointed, excited or indifferent about the pick? Anybody feel like this kid, who looks like he's perfectly alright with the former Knights passer leading the way for the Jaguars? Give us your grade.
