Marqise Lee was projected by most to be a first round selection and when he fell out of the first 32 picks, most expected him to quickly get scooped up in the first few picks of the second round. After slipping by six teams, the Jaguars scooped him up with the No. 39 overall pick.
The pick drew instant rave reviews from experts and fans alike, who raved about Lee's big play ability. Still, Lee fell out of the first round for a few reasons that were compiled by SB Nation's USC site, Conquest Chronicles:
Apparently, wide receiver Marqise Lee, did not do enough to prove to NFL scouts and front office personnel that his last season as a Trojan was more about being plagued by injury than being unable to return to his 2012 record-breaking form. Lee was projected to be drafted in the 1st round of the NFL Draft, instead he listened to five other wide receivers names be called as he sat and waited.
When healthy, there's no question that Lee is a home run threat every time the ball is in his hands. So what say you BCC, are you willing to look past the injury questions and drops for the huge potential of Lee?
