The Jacksonville Jaguars can actually release Justin Blackmon from the roster, if they want to.

The Jacksonville Jaguars apparently can release suspended wide receiver Justin Blackmon from their roster if they so desire. Coming on the heels of the news of the New York Giants releasing suspended safety Will Hill, according to Ryan O'Halloran of The Florida Times-Union, the team can release Blackmon.

Previously it was believed that the Jaguars could not actually release Blackmon while he was suspended from the NFL and instead would need to wait until he was reinstated into the league, if he ever is. Instead, they'd just carry the rights to his suspended contract indefinitely, in case he ever came back

Instead, it appears the Jaguars can literally move on from Blackmon if they decide to. I personally wouldn't expect the Jaguars to make a move like that any time soon, at least not until they get both Marqise Lee and Allen Robinson on the field, as well as lock up Cecil Shorts III for the long-term.
