50 best plays of 2013 - No. 38: Blackmon caps off 190-yard performance vs. Broncos

We're counting down the 50 best plays of 2013. Who made it at No. 38? Justin Blackmon, and the catch that helped him rack up 190 yards against the Broncos.

Chris Humphreys-USA TODAY Sports

In the 50 days leading up to the preseason opener against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, we're counting down the 50 best plays of 2013.

Yesterday at No. 39 was Jason Babin and his sack against Indianapolis Colts quarterback Andrew Luck -- which helped him to a team-leading 7.5 sacks last season. At No. 38? Blackmon's 14th reception against the Denver Broncos, which helped him to a 190-yard performance at Mile High Stadium.

Receiving threats haven't exactly grown on trees in Jacksonville.

Case in point: Oft-suspended receiver Justin Blackmon, and his 14 receptions for 190 yards against Denver in 2013, was better than any other Jaguars receiver since Jimmy Smith posted 15 catches for 293 yards against the Baltimore Ravens in 2000.

(Yes, Blackmon himself did better in 2012 with 14 receptions and 236 yards against the Texans, but no other player has done better.)

And here's the 14th reception at the end of the fourth quarter to cap off his spectacular performance.

Should Justin Blackmon, and his 14th reception and 190th yard, be on the list? Let us know in the comments below!
