In the 50 days leading up to the preseason opener between the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, we're counting down the 50 best plays of 2013.
Yesterday at No. 22 was Ace Sanders and his 51-yard catch-and-run, the longest of the year for the rookie out of South Carolina.
Today at No. 21? Geno Hayes and his smart read on Matt Schaub to make the interception.
At first glance (and especially from the side) it doesn't look like all that special a play. Sure, an interception in the final few minutes of the game is good, but not great.
But look at how Hayes gets the interception. Texans tight end Garrett Graham runs an out route that Schaub predicts Hayes will bite on. Nope. Hayes keeps his eyes on Schaub, holds his position, and makes the great catch.
Should Hayes' interception be higher on the list? Lower? Let us know in the comments below!
