According to an ESPN report, Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Blake Bortles came in No. 18 in jersey sales in the NFL. That's not just rookies, that's all players.
Topping the list is (not surprisingly) Cleveland Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel, who beat out Russell Wilson, Colin Kaepernick, and Richard Sherman.
Other than Manziel, ESPN reported that other rookies on the list include a notable AFC South rival:
Notable rookies to crack the list besides Manziel and Sam included Minnesota Vikings quarterback Teddy Bridgewater (No. 13), Houston Texans defensive end and top overall pick Jadeveon Clowney (No. 16) and Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Blake Bortles (No. 18).
It's a bit of a dip for Bortles, who was in the top five of jersey sales immediately following the NFL Draft. But it's still exciting to see that a Jaguars player can make a splash in terms of merchandising, especially when so many people felt we would have had to reach for a player or sign underwhelming talent to do so.
