Jaguars projected as underdogs for every game in 2014

A second-half surge in 2013 and an improved roster this offseason don't seem to matter to one NFL oddsmaker.

Doug Pensinger

With the preseason less than three weeks away, one NFL oddsmakers isn't betting on Jacksonville taking any momentum from last season into 2014.

According to Ryan O'Halloran of the Florida Times-Union, the Jaguars are currently predicted as underdogs in all 16 games by CG Technologies, with half of them predicted as two-possession losses.

Here's the full list:

+11 at Philadelphia

+9 at Washington

+6 vs. Indianapolis

+10 at San Diego

+6.5 vs. Pittsburgh

+7 at Tennessee

+2.5 vs. Cleveland

+4 vs. Miami

+11 at Cincinnati

+10 vs. Dallas (in London)

+12 at Indianapolis

+5.5 vs. New York Giants

+4 vs. Houston

+10.5 at Baltimore

+3 vs. Tennessee

+10 at Houston

I get being double-digit underdogs on the road against Baltimore and Philadelphia, and if Indianapolis swept us I wouldn't be surprised. But Houston? Cleveland? Miami?

As we get closer to the regular season, I'd imagine one or two of these games will shift over in the Jaguars' favor.
