Update: It appears that Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Cecil Shorts III will be out a couple of weeks with a hamstring injury.

Given that it's a hamstring injury, this isn't a massive shocker. It's a soft tissue injury that can linger through a whole season if rushed back and the Jaguars are notoriously cautious with soft tissue injuries under Gus Bradley and Dave Caldwell.
Original post:
Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Cecil Shorts pulled his hamstring in the first training camp practice on Friday morning, but before you hit the wide receiver panic button, he expects to be back on the field quickly, possibly even for Saturday's session.
"Things are going to pop up," Shorts told ESPN's Mike DiRocco following practice. "It's football. Things happen. I'll continue to take care of my body. If I'm able to practice [on Saturday], I'm practicing."
Shorts, the most productive and proven receiver currently on the Jaguars roster, is likely going to have a lot on his shoulders for the upcoming season without Justin Blackmon and Ace Sanders in the lineup to begin the year. The only other targets in the receiving corps will be unproven rookies or some role players like Mike Brown or Kerry Taylor.
As long as the injury isn't very serious and doesn't linger, there shouldn't be much to worry about here. It's likely the Jaguars are cautious with Shorts as well and ease him back into practice. The last thing the Jaguars need right now is Cecil Shorts out for an extended period of time.
