Jacksonville Jaguars owner Shad Khan and EverBank Field just showed the world the most massive scoreboards Planet Earth has ever seen. Not only did they present the scoreboards on Saturday afternoon but the new pools in the Cabana sections were open and in use and according to Alfie Crow, who provided the video of the presentation and was at the event, it was one of the most surreal things to see in person.
Minutes after Fulham FC of the English Championship League defeated MLS's D.C. United 3-0 at EverBank Field, Khan took to midfield and was greeted by a standing ovation. After several introductions, the scoreboards were unveiled and you need to watch the presentation.
"What we're doing is upgrading the experience for our fans," Khan told the New York Times. "This is another step in the arms race to get the fans back into the stadium."
